Solution 1 – Update Microsoft Office 

Usually, a Windows update is different from a Microsoft Office update. The former is used to update the operating system. In comparison, the latter is used to update the Microsoft Office suite. 

Therefore, you can try to resolve the Outlook issue by updating the Microsoft Office suite. Follow these instructions to update Microsoft Outlook. 

  1. Launch any other Microsoft software program and go to the File menu. Here, click on Account. 
  2. Next, you will find a choice to ‘Update’. It is usually located under the ‘Product Information’. 
  3. Here, you have to click on ‘Update now’ to update the software suite. 
  4. Afterward, close the program and launch Outlook once again.

  1. Press the Windows button to bring up the Start menu. Here, type ‘outlook’ and right-click on the program. Next, click on Properties.

Solution 4 – Run Outlook in Safe Mode

  1. Press the Windows button and the letter ‘R’ at the same time. Next, put ‘outlook.exe /safe’ in the empty text bar. Afterward, click on Ok. 
  2. Here, you have to select your profile from the drop-down menu and click Ok. 
  3. Next, wait a few seconds until the program loads. Subsequently, go to the File menu and click on Options. 
  4. Afterward, go to ‘Add-ins’ and click on the dropdown beside ‘Manage’. Choose ‘COM Add-ins’ and finally select the option Go. 
  5. Here, uncheck all the add-ins and click on ok. 
  6. Now, close the program and open the program normally. 

Solution 5 – Fix Outlook Data File 

Alternatively, another cause of Outlook 365 being stuck on Loading Profile is due to a corrupted data file. Thus, you can fix it by following the instructions below. 

  1. First, you need to navigate to the following folders. 
  • C:
  • Users 
  • Username – this will be the name of your computer system 
  • AppData – Generally, this folder is hidden by default. Therefore, you need to enable ‘Show Hidden files and folders’ to see this. 
  • Local 
  • Microsoft 
  • Outlook 
  1. Here, you will see the Outlook data file with your profile’s name. Subsequently, rename this file to anything you want. 
  2. Finally, close the window and open Outlook again.  

Solution 6 – Create a New Profile 

Misconfigured Profile settings were found to be the cause of this Outlook issue in many instances. As a result, creating a new profile would easily resolve this problem. Follow these steps. 

  1. Press the Windows logo key and the alphabet ‘R’ again. Here, you need to type ‘control mlcfg32.cpl’ and click on Ok. 
  2. Head over to ‘Show Profiles’ and click on the ‘Add’ option. 
  3. Here, give the new profile a name and select ‘Auto Email Account’. Next, enter the necessary details and make this the default profile. 
  4. Finally, click on Apply and close the window. 
  5. You may be able to launch Outlook now. 

Solution 7 – Repair Microsoft Office 

As a last resort, you can try to repair Microsoft Office to solve your problem. This can be done by following the steps below. 

  1. Press the Windows logo key and the alphabet ‘R’ once again. Here, type ‘appwiz.cpl’ and press enter.
